Dr. Kantipudi Narendra Babu
- Kantipudi Narendra Babu is an Academician, a Scientist, an Entrepreneur, and a Philanthropist.
- Narendra Babu has a Doctorate in Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Pune, Pune, India, in 1997.
- He is an expert in diverse areas of Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Drug Discovery and Drug Development, and Dairy & Agricultural input design and development.
- He is the Managing Director of SLB Pharma Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, at present. He has also been a visiting research faculty member at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, since 2014, until now.
- Between Sept. 2000 and May 2003, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the ICBG Research Centre in Arizona Health Sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, USA.
- He has done postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada, in the years January 1999–August 2000.

- Founder Member & Board Director for SVETA (Sri Venkateswara Vedic Education and Training Academy), a non-profit organization for conducting Vedic training and promoting Indian VEDAs for drug discovery programs, in Redmond, WA, USA, since 2014 to present.
- Member and actively involved with Operation Eyesight Universal (a charitable organization preventing blindness in the developing world, World Headquarters, Calgary, AB, Canada) programs for fundraising since February 1999 to the present.

- Member and Board of Trustee for Sree Rama Jeeva Seva Sadan, Nadigaon, Patancheru Mandal, working on various pilot projects to strengthen the Goshala and provide organic manure to farmers from Goshala, since 2012 to present.
Profile of Secretary & Correspondent
Mr. Ch.V.K.Narasimha Rao
Sri CH.V.K.NARASIMHA RAO, B.E., was born in 1942 in Kulla Mallavaram Village, East Godavari District, Ramachandrapuram (Tq). He was educated at Tadepalligudem and Ungutur and received a B.E. (Mech) from the esteemed Regional Engineering College (now NIT), Warangal. In 1969, he founded Srinivasa Agro Industries Corporation in Vijayawada under the Self- Employed Engineering Scheme, and he subsequently became a contractor. Numerous projects for the National and State Highways, Public Health Engineering, and Irrigation Departments were completed successfully thanks to his meticulous planning and execution.
The Sri Prakash Educational Institutions(SPEI) have a unique setting in the embrace of Mother Nature, surrounded by lush vegetation. It has 350 well-bred cows and buffaloes, an organic vegetable farm, and a mineral water plant to ensure safe drinking water. SPEI also has a Biogas plant with a 510 cubic metre capacity that meets 80% of the cooking gas demand and generates 600 Units of Electrical Power per day, making it one of the largest power-generating plants in Andhra Pradesh using biogas.

- Selected as Best Dairy Farmer in Visakhapatnam District by the Joint Director, Animal Husbandry, Visakhapatnam during the year 2007-’08.

- Attended Dairy Industry Conference at Goa 2008 and Bangalore 2010.
- Government of Andhra Pradesh Nominated Sri Ch.V.K.N.Rao as Andhra University Executive Council Member for the period 1995 -1996 and 1996-1997.
Workshops & Competitions
- Conducted Milk Yield Competitions on 2nd and 3rd of February 2007 for Visakhapatnam District Dairy Farmers by spending an amount of Rs2,25,000/- from his own financial resources and with the technical support of Joint Director, Animal Husbandry, Visakhapatnam and General Manager, Visakha Livestock Development Association.
- Conducted one day workshop for Farmers on 7-12-2006 for developing low cost concentrate feeds from his own resources with the support of Joint Director, Animal Husbandry, Visakhapatnam and General Manager, Visakha Livestock Development Association.
- Conducted 90 days’ Training Programme in Dairy Farming with a determination to promote trainees as Dairy Farmers, by spending an amount of Rs.3,50,000/- without any aid from the Government. Majority of the trainees are settled as Dairy Farmers. SBH sanctioned Bank loans to the tuned 5,00,000 lakhs each. He said as the granter for the loans to a tuning of 3 crores to the farmers trained dairy farmers approx. (60 members) sanction Retired Deputy Directors of Animal Husbandry Department participated for giving the training.
- In addition, he provided the Gopala Mitras of the Visakhapatnam District with an internship training programme. Free breakfast and lunch to farmers from various states, and exposure visits to the Integrated Dairy Farm.
Publications
Farmers were given 1,500 copies of “Samagra Padi Parisrama,” a book containing comprehensive information on Integrated Dairy Farming.
Awards
- C. Krishna Rao Endowment Trust Felicitation in 2011.
- Krishna District Milk Union Medal & Vesper Pharmaceuticals Medal for the best Dairy Farmer 2011.
- First prize in Indian Ongole Breed National Milk Yielding Competition held from 30th April to 1st May 2012 at Dwaraka Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.
- National Dairy Farmer Award in Feb 2014 by Govt. of India during Krishi Vasant through the hands of Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra
- Valuable contribution to Agriculture and Rural Development NABARD felicitation in July 2012
Future Projects
- To develop a special breed much suitable for North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
- To start Frozen Semen Bank and to take up Embryo Transfer Technology Programme (letter No. 4091/Res/2007 dt. 30-4-2007 of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University and Lr. No. 2467 A.H. (3) 07 dt. 26-4-2007 of the Special Secretary to Govt. of AP; AH DD & F Dep.)
- To train the farmers to meet their personal medical needs.
- To start mobile veterinary hospitals and to serve the Dairy Farmers in remote villages.
- To train the youth to start Dairy Farms.
- To start Veterinary villages.
He believes that dairy farming fits most approximately into the country’s program for increasing food production and generating employment.
