Student Admission Policy and Procedures

Introduction:

SPACES DEGREE COLLEGE is committed to following the regulations and guidelines on admissions stipulated by statutory bodies such as ANDHRA UNIVERSITY, Visakhapatnam, and Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Studies (APSCHE), which have recognized the programs.

The Student Admission Policy and Procedures are for the application and admission of students into different programs of the college.

  • The College reserves the right to cancel any program onto which students have been accepted in accordance with its rules and regulations.

Implementation of Policy and Procedures:

  • All feeder colleges and individual student applicants should be made aware of the terms of the student admissions policy and procedures by the Academic Cell (AC) of the college.
  • The AC monitors the student application and admission process by providing the materials and means for application to the students.
  • All applications are processed by the AC in accordance with students' applications.
  • As per the latest instructions and guidelines of the APSCHE, the college undergoes the process of making admissions through an online process (OAMDC).
  • 70% of the total seats in SPACES DEGREE COLLEGE will be filled by APSCHE through OAMDC based on merit and in accordance with reservation principles followed by the Government. The college code for OAMDC Allotment is 1849.
  • The remaining 30% of seats will be filled by the Management according to merit.
  • The fee structure shall be decided based on Government-approved norms through APHERMC.
  • The AC maintains records of all student applications and admissions.
  • Eligible students are provided scholarships as per Government norms and procedures laid out by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • In case of admission cancellations, the college will not refund any fees paid by the student.

SPACES Degree College - Fee Refund Policy (2025-26)

1. Introduction:
SPACES Degree College follows the fee refund policy as per the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This policy ensures transparency and fairness in refunding fees for students who withdraw or cancel their admission.

2. Fee Refund Guidelines:
The refund of fees will be processed as per the following conditions:

15 days or more before the formally notified last date of admission

100%

Less than 15 days before the formally notified last date of admission

90%

15 days or less after the formally notified last date of admission

80%

30 days or less, but more than 15 days after the formally notified last date of admission

More than 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission

No Refund

3. Processing Fee Deduction:
A processing fee of Rs. 1,000 may be deducted for refunds as the case may be.

4. Applicability:
This policy applies to all students seeking admission to any degree program at SPACES Degree College. The institution shall not retain original certificates and will comply with the UGC regulations on fee refunds and non-retention of documents.

5. Refund Procedure:

  • The student must submit a written request for withdrawal along with proof of admission.
  • The refund will be processed within 15 working days from the date of request approval.
  • The amount will be refunded via the original mode of payment.

SPACES NCC Band Wins First Prize at Kakinada Independence Day Celebrations

The SPACES Degree College NCC Band secured first prize at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Kakinada, attended by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Sri Konidela Pawan Kalyan.
