CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR FACULTY ON OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION (OBE) UNDER NEP-2020 - 14-05-2026

A Capacity Building Workshop on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) under NEP-2020: CO - PO Mapping and Their Attainment Calculation under Autonomous Framework” was successfully organized for the faculty members at SPACES Degree College (Autonomous) on 14th May 2026 (Thursday). The workshop was conducted with the objective of strengthening faculty understanding of Outcome Based Education, curriculum planning, and attainment procedures under the autonomous academic framework. The workshop was graced by eminent resource persons from St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Visakhapatnam — Dr. P. Mary Anupama, Head & Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry; Dr. E. Harini, Selection Grade Lecturer & Head, Department of Zoology; and Dr. P. Rosina George, Assistant Professor in Zoology. The distinguished speakers shared their expertise and provided deep insights into the practical implementation of OBE in higher education institutions.A total of 34 faculty members participated in the workshop and greatly benefited from the sessions. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the institution’s commitment towards academic excellence and continuous faculty development. The faculty members actively engaged in discussions and gained practical understanding of OBE implementation under the autonomous framework. The sessions were highly informative, interactive and meticulously delivered. The resource persons explained every aspect of CO-PO Mapping, attainment calculations, and OBE practices in a very minute and systematic manner, ensuring clarity for all faculty members. Complex concepts related to curriculum outcomes, assessment strategies, and attainment measurement were simplified with practical examples, making the sessions highly beneficial and easy to understand. The participants found the workshop extremely insightful and went away with enhanced knowledge, practical clarity, and confidence in implementing OBE practices effectively.All the three speakers deserve special appreciation for their exceptional delivery, clarity and dedication in achieving the objectives of the workshop. Their engaging presentations, patient explanations, and willingness to clarify doubts reflected their profound subject expertise and commitment towards academic excellence. The workshop significantly enhanced the faculty’s understanding of OBE implementation and its importance under the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. The Management of SPACES Degree College (Autonomous) deserves heartfelt appreciation for organizing such a valuable and timely faculty development initiative. Their continuous efforts towards academic quality enhancement and professional development of faculty are truly commendable. The workshop served as an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and capacity building among educators. The faculty members expressed their sincere gratitude to the esteemed resource persons for their insightful sessions and valuable guidance.
