SPACES LIBRARY
The Library is providing the following services to the readers.
- Reference service: Providing information about and from the sources available in library at appropriate time to the users
- Document Delivery Service : The document available in the Library stacks will be issued to the users during office hours for a fixed duration of days.
- Reprographic Service : Xerox, Printing facility available to the library users throughout the library opening hours at minimum charges.
- Current Awareness service: As part of current awareness service the library issues current periodicals, display of new arrivals, notifying the forth coming conference /seminars etc., and important notifications.
- Database search service : At present the literature search is available through internet and Online access to N-List E-journals and periodicals.
- OPAC: An online Public Access Catalogue terminal is kept to the users to facilitate them to search through catalogue to ascertain the availability of documents. It can be searched using various options like Title, author, subject, publisher etc. in a user friendly way.
- Lending of Books.
- Reference services and General Assistance.
- Maintaining a Digital Library for online access journals.
- News paper clipping facility.
- Book reservation facility.
- Internet facility.
- All library members must sign the In/Out register, which is available with the attendant at the main gate of the library.
- Library members shall maintain perfect order and silence in the library. Mobile phones must be switched off, or kept on the vibration mode.
- Students must possess their identity cards while entering library.
- Every student can borrow a maximum of 3 books for a period of 10 days. Faculty members can borrow up to 5 books for one semester.
- Students must return borrowed books before the due date. An overdue charge of Rs.2/- will be collected per day, per book.
- Reference books, multivolume books, and periodicals will not be issued to students for loan. They can be used for reading and reference within the library.
- Students should handle books with care and not write their names or mark any lines while reading the book.
- Students must physically verify the condition of the books before borrowing them. The last student who borrowed the book will be responsible for any damages.
- If a student loses a book, they must replace it or pay an amount equivalent to double the cost of the book.
- A No-Dues Certificate will not be issued unless the student returns all books borrowed from the library.
- Do not move books or journals from their designated area to another area.
- If one book of a set is damaged or lost, the member concerned will be liable to replace the whole set.
- The librarian reserves the right to suspend or cancel the membership of any member found misbehaving with library staff or exhibiting any other indecent behavior.
- The library will not be responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or property of members within the library.
- Rules and regulations are subject to change with prior notice.
