A Guest Lecture on E-Commerce, Cyber Law & Digital Ethics: Navigating the Legal Landscape of Online Business. - 03.01.2026

The Department of Commerce & Management, SPACES Degree College (Autonomous), Payakaraopeta, successfully organized a Guest Lecture on 3rd January 2026 as part of its academic enrichment initiatives. The session was delivered by Mr.J.T Siva Seshu, a distinguished alumnus of the institution and a practicing Advocate at the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The guest lecture was conducted on the topic “E-Commerce, Cyber Law & Digital Ethics: Navigating the Legal Landscape of Online Business.” The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the rapidly evolving digital business environment and the legal and ethical challenges associated with online commerce.

During the session, Mr. Siva Seshu elaborated on key concepts related to e-commerce regulations, cyber laws, data protection, digital contracts, consumer rights, cyber crimes, and ethical responsibilities of businesses in the digital era. He emphasized the importance of legal compliance, cybersecurity awareness, and ethical decision-making in managing online business operations. The speaker also shared real-time legal cases and professional experiences, which helped students gain practical insights into the subject.

The lecture was highly informative and interactive, encouraging active participation from the students. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their doubts regarding cyber regulations and career opportunities in the legal domain related to commerce and digital business.

The programme was well received by the students of B.Com and BBA, and it significantly enhanced their understanding of the legal framework governing digital commerce.
