3-Day Skill Development Program on AI Fundamentals and Customer Engagement

A three-day skill development program was successfully conducted for the II B.Sc. Computer Science students from 15th to 17th December at SPACES Degree College(A), Payakaraopeta. The program was organized in collaboration with Magic Bus India Foundation powered by IBM with the objective of enhancing students’ technical knowledge and employability skills.

Mr. Ummadisetty Sasi Kumar, Technical Youth Trainer from Magic Bus India Foundation - IBM, served as the resource person for the program. He delivered interactive and insightful sessions focusing on both technical and professional skill development.

The training covered key topics such as Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, Customer Engagement – Communication Skills, Personality Dynamics, Problem Solving, and Process Controls. The sessions were designed to be practical and learner-centered, enabling students to understand real-world applications of AI along with essential workplace skills.

Throughout the program, students actively participated in discussions, activities, and exercises that helped them improve their communication abilities, develop a professional attitude, and enhance their analytical and problem-solving skills. The trainer effectively connected theoretical concepts with industry-relevant examples, making the sessions engaging and impactful.

The three-day program significantly contributed to building the necessary technical and interpersonal skills required for students’ academic growth and future career opportunities. Overall, the session was highly beneficial and well received by the students, marking a successful collaboration between SPACES Degree College and IBM Magic Bus India Foundation.

SPACES Degree College Hosts Inspiring Session on Mastering Soft Skills

On February 10, 2025, SPACES Degree College organized a motivational session on "Campus to Corporate: Mastering Soft Skills" with renowned expert Mr. Dhora, Principal of Riverside School, Ooty. As a motivational speaker, soft skills trainer, and counselor, Mr. Dhora shared his valuable insights with the students.

Mr. Dhora emphasized the significance of soft skills in the 21st century, highlighting their importance in transforming individuals from ordinary to extraordinary. He stressed the importance of mental programming, stating that "Brain is Hardware, Mind is Software." 

Mr. Dhora urged students to take responsibility for breaking the poverty chain in their families, emphasizing that "there should be one person in our family who cuts the chain of poverty."

For making one's life and career better, he said that "Mind is a Supercomputer & Mindset is the Key." 
He explained various mindsets, including:

Quoting, "Money will not come from the money plant at home, it comes from parents' sweat," Mr. Dhora highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance.

Mr. Dhora concluded his session by emphasizing that "there is no caste, religion for a winning mindset, which leads to a winner mindset." He encouraged students to adopt a winning mindset, focusing on growth, learning, and self-improvement.

The session was indeed a compilation of life lessons, inspiring students to develop their soft skills, cultivate a winning mindset, and strive for excellence in their personal and professional lives.
