Objectives

  • To acquire a comprehensive understanding of scientific soil-less plant cultivation.
  • To implement and promote water-efficient, sustainable farming methodologies.
  • To cultivate dynamic operational interest in modern, technology-driven agricultural techniques.

Core Practices

  • Selection of suitable commercial short-duration crops such as leafy vegetables (Lettuce, Spinach, Coriander).
  • Designing, configuring, and assembling functional hydroponic systems including Wick Systems and Nutrient Film Technique (NFT).
  • Preparation and balance of rich nutrient solutions containing essential plant macro and micronutrients.
  • Regular monitoring, logging, and systematic adjustment of system pH levels and Electrical Conductivity (EC).
  • Maintenance of ideal greenhouse environmental conditions covering light cycles, temperature margins, and humidity parameters.
  • Continuous observation of distinct plant vegetative growth stages and systematic scientific data recording.
  • Proactive identification and corrective management of localized nutrient deficiencies or environmental plant stress.
  • Routine flushing, cleaning, and chemical maintenance of system lines to isolate and prevent bacterial contamination.
  • Harvesting crops cleanly at peak appropriate stages and performing comprehensive quantitative yield evaluations.

Skills Developed

  • Practical chemistry proficiency in calculation, preparation, and management of targeted plant nutrient solutions.
  • Analytical diagnostic skills through consistent monitoring of biological growth, baseline pH fluctuations, and nutrient indexes.
  • Technical mechanical skills in handling automated hydroponic pumps, plumbing lines, measuring meters, and general layout setup.
  • Scientific evaluation capabilities via precise observation logging and structured raw data recording patterns.
  • Eco-conscious awareness regarding localized water conservation, land savings, and sustainable farm resource allocation.
  • Core entrepreneurial literacy encompassing operational crop planning, input cost-benefit analysis, and market distribution strategies.
