SPACES Degree College organized beach clean-up activity enthusiastically
SPACES Degree College organised a beach clean-up activity on the occasion of NSS Day, at Addaripeta Beach on 24th September, 2024. Around 100 students from the NSS wing of SPACES Degree College and staff enthusiastically participated in Cleanliness Service (Swachhata Hi Seva), beach clean- up programme and collected debris which includes plastic bottles, paper cups, spoons, waste clothes etc. The essence of the activity is priceless. It is one of the activities to protect environment. The trash which includes over 70% plastic wastes. Knowingly or unknowingly, man is the reason for the pollution of the costal bed. The dumping of wastes into the seabed is hazardous to the marine life and further disturbing the eco-system. Generations have to cautious otherwise, they will make their bed and they must lie on it. Sri P.Bhaskara Rao, and Sri G. Tatayya Naidu, NSS Unit-I and Unit- II programme officers urged the NSS volunteers to take part the activities which contribute protecting the environment. The local leaders who participated felt that the work what the students contribute here is safeguarding marine life. At the end of the programme, students took oath on Swachh Bharat. The essence of the oath is Environment will protect us when we take care nature. Dean, Principal, Vice- Principal, IQAC Co-Ordinator and staff members appreciated the students and NSS Co-ordinators.
