The Department of Biochemistry organized an online Guest Lecture for the B.Sc. Biochemistry students on the topic “Food, Enzymes and Disease: Connecting Nutritional Biochemistry to Human Health” on 17-09-2026.

The lecture provided students with an in-depth understanding of the role of food and nutrients in human health, the importance of enzymes in metabolic processes, and the relationship between nutritional imbalances, enzyme function and disease. The session helped students connect the principles of nutritional biochemistry and enzymology with their applications in maintaining health and understanding disease conditions. Students also had an opportunity to interact with an experienced academician and clarify their subject-related queries.
