SPORTS MEET - SPACES DEGREE COLLEGE (15.02.24 & 16.02.24)

SPACES Degree College organized two days sports meet. The objective of this meet was to   promote the advantage of sports. The events were held in SPACES Degree play ground. The events featured a diverse range of sports activities tailored for both the boys and  girls.

VASANTHA PANCHAMI (14-02-24)

Vasantha Panchami, also known as Lord Saraswati Puja, is a festival celebrated to honour the Goddess of knowledge, Saraswati. This auspicious occasion is marked by vibrant celebrations, especially in educational institutions where students seek blessings for wisdom and success.
The Vasantha Panchami celebrations on 14th February 2024, at SPACES Degree College were a grand affair, filled with cultural fervour and spiritual reverence. The event commenced with the traditional invocation to Goddess Saraswati, seeking her blessings for academic excellence and creativity.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND PADS DISTRIBUTION (09.02.2024)

Rotaract Club of Coastal Andhra and Rotaract Club of Sabala, as a part of Project Red 2.0 – a multi-district initiative by District 3020, hosted by Rotaract Club of Ave, conducted the event in the tribal areas of Hukumpeta, near Paderu, a town in ASR District of Andhra Pradesh.
A survey was conducted in December 2023 on Menstrual hygiene in residential girls’ school and one government colleges. The survey found students lacked the awareness on Menstrual hygiene and with proper physical facilities.
On 9th February 2024, the Rotaract Club of Coastal Andhra and Rotaract Club Sabala visited Paderu and conducted menstrual hygiene and healthy diet sessions for the students. Around 4000 sanitary pads were distributed for the girls (700 packets).
The Rotaract Club of Young Leaders and Rotaract Club of Sabala together conducted the event.

MAHATMA GANDHI'S DEATH ANNIVERSARY (30-01-24)

On 30th January 2024, SPACES Degree College conducted the Mahatma Gandhi Vardhanthi (Mahatma Gandhi's Death Anniversary) with profound reverence. The objective of the event was to pay homage to our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and to inculcate Gandhi’s life, teachings , principles of truth, non-violence, compassion and self-discipline.
The session began with a solemn prayer, where students and faculty members paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi.  As mark of respect, silence was observed.  The students discussed the life of Gandhi and also quoted some excerpts from his autobiography ‘The story of My experiments with Truth.
Students presented Power Point Presentations on Gandhi’s Life History. NSS Program Officers Sri P. Bhaskara Rao, Sri G.T. Naidu led the proceedings.

Republic Day @ SPACES

SPACES Degree College along other group of Institutions of Sri Prakash celebrated 75th Republic Day. The celebrations represented the theme ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat Lok Tantra’.  It emphasized the concept of women empowerment.
Dr. V.V.S.B. Bangarraju – Director HR, Sri Prakash, Dr. K.Veerraju - Principal SPACES Degree College, Sri V.V.S.S.Bhanumurthy – Principal, SPJC graced the dais.  
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, symbolizing our allegiance to the principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. Students and faculty members gathered in the campus ground to pay homage to the visionaries who framed the Constitution, laying the foundation for India's Democratic journey.
 The NCC Parade by the cadets demonstrated the prowess of the students. It was the mark of discipline and dedication towards Nation.   The celebrations showcased the rich cultural heritage of India through various performances, highlighting the unity in diversity. Ppatriotic songs echoed the spirit of inclusivity and harmony.
The Heads of the institutions addressed the gathering. They reminded the power of organized system which the constitution facilitated to everyone in India. The winners of the competitions were given away the prizes

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY (09-12-23)

On 9th December 2023, SPACES Degree College celebrated the eve of International Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The day aimed to raise awareness about human rights issues globally and promote the importance of respecting and protecting these rights.
The main highlight of the event was an art/drawing competition organized for the students. The theme of the competition revolved around human rights, encouraging participants to express their thoughts and ideas creatively through art. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their talent and creativity.

JOSH-2024 (09-01-24) - "JOSH A SHOWCASE OF YOUNG TALENT"

Sri Prakash Celebrated 'Josh' on the occasion of 47th anniversary. It brought distinguished guests from different walks of life. The guests of the day were Sri. Krishnaiah Bollineni founder and chairman, BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd., Dr. Kurapati Krishnaiah, CEO Senior Orthopaedic surgeon Hyderabad, Sri. Laxminarayan, IAS(RTD), Ex special secretary, Govt.of AP, Sri. Kesava Rao Kodali, Chairman at SEKO BEC Pvt.ltd, Hyderabad, Sri. Nadella Venkata Subba Rao, MD, Prathap Industries Vijayawada, Dr. K. Narendra Babu, Chairman, Sri Prakash Educational Society, Sri.Ch.V. K Narasimha Rao, Secretary and correspondent, Sri Prakash Educational Society and Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Society.
All the guests shared their down to earth experiences and appealed to uphold the human standards. "Sankranti sambaralu was the feast to eye". The students showcased the multihued images and rich cultural heritage of Sankranti.

NAAC Mock visit (09-12-2023)

On 9th December 2023, SPACES Degree College underwent a mock visit for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), as part of the preparation for the accreditation process. The mock visit aimed to simulate the accreditation process, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring readiness for the official assessment. The Management invited highly experienced past masters to visit and assess SPACES Degree College. 
Prof. V.S.S.Kumar, Former Vice Chancellor, JNTU- Kakinda and Sri B.V.Krishna Rao, Former Secretary, State Board of Technical Education. & Training, Govt. of A.P. accepted the invitation and lend a helping hand for the benefit of the institution.

NAAC MOCK VISIT BY Dr. B.V.BABU - 07.12.2023

On 07th December 2023, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) mock visit was conducted at SPACES Degree College. 
Dr. B.V.Babu, Former Professor & Dean - BITS, Pilani & SRM University-Andhra Pradesh and Former Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era University, Dehradun & Former Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. B.V. Babu accepted to evaluate and assess the Institution. The purpose of the mock visit was to stimulate a real NAAC visit and provide feedback to the institution.

DISTRICT ROTARACT GOVERNOR VISIT (08-12-2023)

            On 8th December 2023, SPACES Degree College had the honor of hosting the esteemed District Rotaract Governor, Rtn. Ravuri Subbarao, for a special visit.
            Rtn. Ch Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions accompanied the Chief Guest. Parent Club - Rotary Tuni, Rotarians – Rotary Clubs of Young Leaders & Sabala were part of the event. The visit aimed to strengthen the ties between the SPACES Rotaract Clubs and the larger Rotaract Community, while also inspiring students to engage in service and leadership.

DISTRICT ROTARACT GOVERNOR VISIT (08-12-2023)

Awareness on medicinal and aromatic plants by scientist from CSIR -CIMAP @Sri Prakash

An Awareness conference for farmers and students by Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Centre was organized at SPACES Degree College. The eminent scientists from CSIR-CIMAP, Boduppal, Hyderabad, G.D. Kiran Babu, Chief Scientist, Dr. Jonnala Kotesh Kumar, Senior Principal Scientist and Dr. K.V.N. Satya Srinivas, Principal Scientist participated in the conference.  They interacted with farmers and students on cultivation of aromatic plants, primary processing, quality aspects and marketing. In the programme, Dr. Kantipudi Narendra Babu, Chairman, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, Sri CH.V.K.  Narasimha Rao, Secretary & Correspondent, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, the farmers from surrounding villages,Dr.k.Veerraju Principal, faculty members and students participated. 
G.D.Kiran babu said that the cultivation of aromatic plants was a good source of income. Another scientist, Dr.J.Koteswararao emphasized the value of aromatic oil and it's business around the world.Dr.k.V.N.S.Srinivas explained the marketing conditions and the process of extracting oils from aromatic plants . Dr.K.Narendra Babu encouraged the students to participate in research activities

National Periodic Table Day is celebrated on February 7th each year. It's a day dedicated to honoring the contributions of Dmitri Mendeleev, who is credited with the creation of the periodic table of elements.On this day, people often reflect on the significance of the periodic table in chemistry and its role in understanding the fundamental building blocks of matter. It's an opportunity for educators, students, and science enthusiasts to engage in activities and discussions related to the periodic table and its impact on the field of chemistry. NAANDI FOUNDATION CLASSES IN SPACES

A four day workshop has been conducted in SPACES Degree College, Payakaraopeta, especially for Girl students. An industry expertised team of four members, B.Pavan, K.Gowtham Shankar, A.Narasimha Rao & P.Anvesh led the workshop which was conducted from 19th Dec 2022 to 22nd Dec 2022. Objective of this workshop is to enable students to overcome stage fear, enhance their skills such that students face interviews with confidence and grab opportunities to fit into the corporate industry. The activities comprised Group Discussions, JAM sessions & debates. There was a healthy participation from the student community and was indeed a worthy workshop. On final day, the program was ended by giving awards to active participants and quick learners. Students felt that this program is helpful for their self development. Finally, Dr.K.Veerraju, Principal, SPACES Degree College and team members appreciated students for active participation in this program.
